The Yasmin Mahmud Mother and Child Healthcare Center was established in December 2009 to address the high incidence of preventable disease and alarming rates of maternal and infant mortality among the target community.

YMCHC

The Center is staffed by a lady doctor and trained nursing assistants who provide basic healthcare and out-patient services. It comprises a pharmacy, ward, labour room and child delivery facilities, while the staff has full access to online resources through state of the art network connectivity. The Center is operational round-the-clock and provides an ambulance facility for rapid patient transport in emergency situations. Free community health awareness campaigns are held intermittently to encourage a culture of disease prevention through hygiene and adequate nutrition.
